Marco Fagioli was born in 1974. After having attended the Public Institute of Art in Perugia, he moved to Urbino where he studied graphic design, industrial design and photography at ISIA (Istituto Superiore per le Industrie Artistiche) in Urbino. In 2001, he founded, with Andrea Medri and Livio Zupicich, the Zup Associati Design Studio, which deals with communication, design, interior design, staging and museums areas, both for private companies and public institutions. Here, he currently performs the role of creative director. Now he is working for private home projects, museums stagings, and other projects in communication and industrial design.
Since 2009, he is teaching Design Methodology at NID - New Design Institute of Perugia.
Since 2014, he is professor of Design at the Accademia delle Belle Arti Pietro Vannucci in Perugia.
He has gained many awards, among which the Compasso d'Oro (Gold Compass) ADI 2008-2011, the Reddot Design Award, Design Plus, German Design Award e ethic Grandesign. In 2015 he has been awarded with the l’ED-Awards and with the Silver Joseph Binder Award - Design Austria.
In 2016 he has been selected during the XXI Triennial International Exhibition of Milan with his "Matris" project and he also has been awarded of the XXIV Compasso d'Oro ADI 2016 for his project 5MM Treemme.
